Ecology

This species is abundant on reef tops and in shallow rocky areas in depths between 10 and 40 feet.

Description

Length ranges from 3 to 5 inches. The body displays markings and shadings in a variety of colors, including green, blue, violet, rose, orange, and yellow, while the underside is pale.
