Ecology

Adults stay near coral reefs and rocky areas, but can also be found on the bottom area up to 85 feet. Juveniles prefer shallow water.

Description

Grows to 8–12 inches in length, occasionally reaching 15 inches. The body is silver with yellow or brassy tones, and a bluish marking is present below the eye.
