Ecology
They prefer clear water and are often found over sandy or rocky bottoms and on corals. Sand Divers eat fish and shrimps.
Description
Attains a length of 4 to 14 inches, occasionally reaching 18 inches. The back displays reddish-brown bars, accompanied by thin yellow or golden and blue stripes. Diamond-shaped markings are present on the sides, and the coloration often allows the fish to blend with its surroundings.
